Today marks the 50th anniversary of celebrating Earth Day around the globe! It is interesting how the world today looks alot different than it did back then. Ice caps have been melting, pollution is rising, and now we are in the midst of a global pandemic forcing people to stay inside. In some ways stay at home orders have benefited our natural world. People are constantly too busy and not consciously aware of how their daily lives impact the environment. As we celebrate Earth Day at home the world around us is changing. Some people believe that "nature is sending us a message." The air is cleaner, the water is clearer and animals are acting differently in regions all over the world.
