Teen Creative Writing

We get it. Writing 5 paragraph essays isn't always a delight. But writing can still be really fun! Do you miss writing stories, poems, or just having fun and being creative for an hour of your busy day? Come join our writing circle for prompts, journaling, and snacks.

Teen Radicle Book Club Returns

After a hiatus, we're back with rad book club.  Come talk about what you want to read.  Rather than reading the same book, we will consider reading along a theme, as well as watching rad films based on books.

ON March 19th there will be special snacks in the teen space to celebrate San Giuseppe (Saint Joseph's Day)!

Teen Jam Session

This is for all the people who want to show what they have to offer with their musical talents!  Bring an instrument if you know how to play (the teen space has a keyboard and acoustic guitar).  And if you do not have an instrument you can sing if you want.  Spoken word or poetry is also welcome.

There will be snacks and support!

Everyone is encouraged to play or perform and no one will be judged!

Ask WHS senior Allie Ornberg ( for more info!  Sign ups will be day of.

Teen Advisory Board

Help us shape the future of the Teen Space!  We want to hear your ideas about the library and the world.  Have a skill or hobby you want to share with other teens?  Need a space to do something you can't elsewhere?  Pitch new program ideas, suggest new additions to our collection, and earn volunteer hours while you do so.

Snacks will be provided!  In the December meeting we will make muddy buddy treats!

Teen Comic Creation

Create your own comics, on paper or for the web.  We will explore afro-futurism, in the vein of Black Panther, and think about how to imagine better futures through fiction.  We'll have comic panels to fill in and drawing supplies.  Snacks provided as always.

"Think about an injustice in the world and draw a comic of a future where it doesn't exist."
