Quiet Reading & Homework Hour

Monthly Quiet Reading Hours

Come read in the teen space.  Teens can read off their Westerly fines by reading for a half hour or more within the Teen Space.  We will also provide a quiet space to do homework and offer homework help, catering to ESOL students, during this time.

Origami supplies will also be provided to fold paper cranes as part of a Peace Crane exchange.

Teen NaNoWriMo Drop In

Drop in to the space for time, help, and idea sharing writing for National Novel Writing Month! The first hour will be dedicated to talking through issues, sharing tips & resources, and looking at some great examples of solid writing. The second hour will be where we sit down and write! Feel free to come in early or stay late.

Teen Social Justice Writers + Teens Against Pollution Meeting

We'll again have a joint meeting of Teen Social Justice Writers and Teens Against Pollution. Last meeting of Teen SJWs we decided our writers we recorded messages we're passionate.  Depending on the weather, we will now go outside to turn them into sidewalk chalk art. We will collaborate with Teens Against Pollution as they have their regular monthly meeting and plan their next steps forward now that Westerly Town Council has called for a committee together to examine single use plastics.

It's back after our summer and rug hiatus! Join us for teen anime. We'll have drawing supplies, perler beads, and more! Everyone who shows up can vote on the anime we watch.
