Attention Students and Parents: All students in grades K-8 are now welcome to attend the Westerly Public Library’s upcoming Homework and/or Tutoring Groups!
On Mondays and Thursdays tutoring sessions are held from 5:30-6:30 and 6:30-7:30. Students can drop in during these hours, and receive help on homework by tutor availability. There are also computers available. Drop ins are welcome, but we cannot guarantee someone will be available to help one-on-one.
Tutors are local high school students and eighth graders earning community service hours. All students in grades K-8 are welcome to sign up or drop in. High school students interested in being tutored are also invited, please contact Jordynn Celico or the library before dropping in.
The program is free and open to any student in grades K-8. For the sessions, all participants should meet in the Teen Space of the Westerly Library and then move to other parts of the library as necessary. Parents of children younger than 12 must remain in the library during the length of the session per library policy.
