Build-a-Boat at the Westerly Library - Afternoon Edition **Event Suspended**

This event has been suspended until further notice. Please contact with any questions.

Ever wanted to build a model boat, but never really knew where to start? Join Ben Ellcome, Director of the Mystic Seaport Sailing Center, and our Technology Coordinator Tim Hayes, in the Library's Makerspace, and learn how to build Footy-class model sailboats.

These classes are part of a long term program, which will familiarize you with a variety of tools and equipment in the Library's Makerspace. Participants will use the Library's Makerspace to design and manufacture boats during the winter, so that they may be raced in the Wilcox Park pond come the spring. Don't worry! You get to keep the boat you make.
Supplies will be provided. Limited space is available, so pre-registrations are requested. Please contact Tim Hayes to register at or call at 401.596.2877 ext. 311
