Come to one of our information sessions (5:00-5:30 or 5:30-6 PM) and learn about our brand new running group, designed to help almost anyone go from a "non runner" to a "5k distance runner" in 8 weeks, following the C25k® program! This session is not mandatory for participation in our program, but will give you more information and answer any questions you have.
The C25k® program is designed for beginners, easing you into running for progressively longer distances, until you are able to run for 30 minutes straight (or approximately 3 miles).
The Library Couch to 5k Club will meet for weekly group runs on Wednesdays from 5-5:45pm in Wilcox Park. To get the maximum benefit from the program, participants should plan on completing 2 additional runs each week, following the C25K® schedule. The 8 week program will end just in time for you to run in your very first 5k! Run with us at the (free) Westerly Track and Athletic Club Fun Run 5k on June 3rd, or the Pawcatuck Lions 5k on June 6th!
