Early this year, Westerly Library and Wilcox Park held Community Conversations, focusing on Seniors and Aging in Westerly. The insights, ideas, and struggles that were discussed have been invaluable as we, and other community organizations, work towards helping Westerly become a more age-friendly place to live.
As COVID-19 has had a huge effect on our lives this past year, we're once again inviting you to engage with us in a virtual community conversation. The conversation will be informal, and will include questions such as "What's it like to age in this town?", "What challenges are older people facing in our community", and "What's working, and what else can be done, to address these challenges"?
We will also hear from representatives from Age Friendly Westerly and the new Village Westerly group, about how the village model could address some of the needs that have been discussed.
This event is free and open to the public, and will be held on Zoom. If you have never used this virtual meeting platform, watch the 3-part tutorial series on our YouTube page: How to Zoom.
