Barbara Ackerman & Rory Brayman Art Exhibit

Imagination, Exploration and Beauty

Barbara Ackerman's pieces will be from her recent body of work titled, Personal Geography.
Her niece Rory's will be work from her studies with State Street School with Art Teacher Christine.
 


Barbara Ackerman is a fine artist and graphic designer living in Bennington, VT.
After working as a graphic designer for 15 years in Burlington, VT she moved back to
her home town of Bennington to teach design at the local high school and continue her studies in fine art.
Her recent work includes explorations in mixed media in addition to her studies in
pastel. Her subject matter comes from her love of the outdoors and her painting technique
is both representational and interpretive. She creates en plein air and also
enjoys exploring abstractions of her observations in her studio. Color choices and
composition are both visual and emotional responses to her surroundings.
Barbara is a member of the Southern Vermont Art Center in Manchester, VT where she exhibits her work regularly.
 
Rory Brayman is a kind, talented artist and a role model in the Art room at school.
She comes into Art class each and every day ready to do the best that she can
and is always ready for whatever challenge awaits her.
She loves art because it give her the availablity to be creative and use her imagination with colors.
She loves being able to pick any color she wants to use on pictures.
