Community Conversations in Partnership with Westerly ARC

Please join us for Community Conversations in partnership with Westerly ARC this Wednesday, September 15th at 6 pm! ARC is an Anti-Racism Coalition aimed at embracing multiculturalism to address racism through education and empowerment. The discussions will consist of a series of three virtual panel conversations with local leaders aimed at bringing our community closer together. Each conversation will be facilitated by a moderator and center on a theme with prompts to inspire dialogue, and following each panel there will be an audience Q&A.

September “Back to School: Never Too Old to Learn and Grow”
The last year and a half has been challenging with many lessons learned for individuals and communities. The panel discussion will ask the question - “What have you learned over this last year and a half and how can these lessons fuel an even better more equitable future for Westerly and beyond?”
This month's panelists include:
Brigitte Hopkins, Executive Director Westerly Library and Wilcox Park
Tim Flannagan, Educator Stonington Public Schools
Shawn Lacey, Westerly Police Chief
