With summer here, it’s time to think about keeping children and teens healthy while school is out.
Westerly Library & Wilcox Park provides free meals to children and teens during the summer beginning June 24 thru August 23, 2019.
This summer, FREE meals will be served at the Westerly Library in the Children's Room on Mondays-Fridays from 11am-1pm
(** Please note: We are closed July 4 and August 12; and will serve lunch from 1-3pm on July 18th)
There are no income requirements, payments or registration, and you don't need to have a library card in order to take part in this.
Any child or teen under age 18 may come to eat.
Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Summer Food Service Program partners with local organizations like the Westerly Library & Wilcox Park to provide free meals to children and teens when school is out for the summer. For more information on summer feeding sites near you including locations and serving times around the state, contact the United Way by dialing 211.
