Westerly Library is now available by appointment only. Some sections of the first floor will be available for browsing material and to utilize the public computer lab, by reservation only. During this initial reopening phase we are unable to accommodate walk-ins. To make a reservation please call 401.596.2877 ext 930 for Circulation and ext 311 for the computer lab. Please check back for updates! Library Takeout Service is still available via the Books & Materials tab for contact-free pickup and the book drop is now open for material returns.

Teen Space

While the library is closed, we will be sharing resources we hope will be helpful in these difficult times. Check them out here.


The Teen Space at the Westerly Library is the place for teens (ages 12-18)* in Westerly! We have a growing collection of books & magazines, comics & graphic novels, CDs & DVDs. We offer a variety of fun and educational programming throughout the school year and the summer. The Teen Space is a place just for teens. You can hang out and relax or to get some homework done. We have six laptops, a Wii, board games, decks of cards, magazines, and a variety of craft activity boxes and materials to keep you occupied and entertained! 

Come to Teen Involvement to share your opinions, make YOUR voice heard, and shape the space's future. Typically, we meet on the second Friday of the month.

Need volunteer hours? We welcome volunteers who are committed to making the library a better place. Teen volunteer opportunities include: recommending books, movies, CDs and DVDs for the library, helping to plan teen programs, shelving materials, working on library displays, and doing other projects as they come along.
