A small part of the Quonochontaug Music Society will be performing "Acoustic Americana" string music from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM, in our historic 1902 Bandstand, Wednesday, September 20, 2023. The Quonochontaug Music Society is not a band, but a loose group of musicians that gather to provide the joy of music in public spaces. They hope to provide simple joy and peace through music, and they hope to stimulate others to do the same.

Our historic 1902 Bandstand was built for The Westerly Band which is the oldest continuously running civic band in the country. They took only two years off to serve in the Civil War. We hope to continue to get musicians to come and bring joy to others as another delight to all who venture onto the fifteen acres of Wilcox Park, Westerly's centerpiece. Beautifully landscaped, replete with statuary, fountains, beautiful floral landscaping and a magical arboretum!
