Represent your Fandom, and Join us for a day of Comic-Con activities!

There are activities and talks all throughout the library: Decorate and enjoy themed snacks, paint miniatures, learn the art of SFX makeup, a Cryptid Museum in the Hoxie Gallery, superhero art with Wellbeing Collaborative, create laser cut name plates, join switch games tournaments, play tabletop games in Old Main Reading Room, and enjoy plenty of photo ops. Check down below for the full schedule of events!

In addition to drop-in activities, we have two authors joining us to give talks:

Graphic Novelist Alex Graudins, author of “IMPROVE: How I Discovered Improv and Conquered Social Anxiety” (2022) will give a talk about their work, followed by an art demonstration.

Image of Ethan GilsdorfAuthor (and self—proclaimed nerd) Ethan Gilsdorf will share his experiences through his talk “How Dungeons & Dragons Saved My Life”. His book, “Fantasy Freaks and Gaming Geeks” will be available for purchase.

In this inspiring and motivational talk, Ethan Gilsdorf, author of "Fantasy Freaks and Gaming Geeks: An Epic Quest for Reality Among Role Players, Online Gamers, and Other Dwellers of Imaginary Realms", describes his journey as a nerdy teenager growing up in a complicated family, and how D&D provided a safe space for creativity, socializing and positive escape — helping him on his path to become the (mostly) well-adjusted adult human being he is today and ultimately, saving his life.

Don’t forget to come dressed in your Cosplay costume, and enter our Cosplay Contest for the chance to show off and win prizes!
