If you've ever envied runners, or wanted to run a 5k, this group is for you! 

Our running group is designed to help almost anyone go from a "non runner" to a "5k distance runner" in 8 weeks, following the C25k® program. Each run, we'll alternate between running and walking for short periods of time, slowly increasing the running time over the weeks until you're able to run 3.1 miles straight! To get the most out of this program, participants should plan on completing 2 additional run/walks on their own during the week, each of which will take 30 minutes.

Runs take place on Mondays in April and May, from 4-4:45pm in Wilcox Park. Registration is not required. Please come dressed in comfortable clothing and sneakers, and bring water. Contact Cassie at cskobrak@westerlylibrary.org or (401) 596-2877 x306 with questions.
