Please join the Irish Coastal Club in presenting "Women of the Irish Language Revival" with Édith DeFaoite, followed by a Celtic harp performance by Rhiannon Ramsey-Brimberg.

This lecture will focus on the often forgotten women of the Irish Language Revival, including Úna Ní Fhaircheallaigh, Máire Ní Shíthe and Máire de Buitléir.

About the presenter:

Édith DeFaoite is a Fulbright FLTA Irish Scholar at Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts. A native of County Kerry, she completed both her undergraduate degree and her Masters degree at University College Cork. Her MA thesis examined the work of Máire Ní Shíthe, a playwright and journalist active during the Irish Literary Revival.
