This month's exhibit Transcending the Blue: Touch, Look, and Wonder will feature pieces by artist Jen Wilkosz! The exhibition will be on view from January 7th to 28th, with an opening reception on January 8th from 5-7 pm in the Hoxie Gallery to meet the artist. Visitors are invited to join for an evening of art and light refreshments and to experience the magic of Transcending the Blue: Touch, Look, and Wonder.
About the exhibit:
Transcending the Blue: Touch, Look, and Wonder is an evocative journey into the purest moments of joy as children interact with the sea. Whether in the untamed wilderness or the controlled environment of an aquarium, each image speaks to the universal magic of childhood and the timeless allure of aquatic life.
Printed using the cyanotype process, each photograph undergoes a transformative journey as toning techniques and elements sourced from the sea are introduced. The essence of the ocean is weaved into the very fabric of the images, capturing not just moments but memories and not just scenes but the soul of childhood by the sea.
