Join Jessie Ferrol as she introduces the four foundations of mindfulness. The understanding and practice of these foundations has been proven to reduce a variety of mental and physical symptoms. They are a fundamental part of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, an evidence based therapy that draws upon Buddhist philosophy, neuroscience and somatic psychology to provide its practitioners a practice that reduces illnesses such as anxiety, depression, chronic pain and hypertension. In this workshop, will learn about the foundations of mindfulness through lecture and experiential learning.   

Jessie Ferrol is a licensed holistic mental health therapist located in Westerly, Rhode Island. She provides both counseling services and ayurvedic consulting and specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, body image issues and dysmorphia, and general life transitions. Jessie is presently enrolled in the MBSR Teacher Training at the Mindfulness Center at Brown University and will offer 8 week MBSR programs fall of 2024.
