Westerly Area Peace and Justice will host their 7th Annual International Day of Peace interfaith prayer service on Saturday, September 21, 2024 on the Esplanade in Wilcox Park starting at 6 pm. The International Day of Peace ("Peace Day") is observed around the world each year on September 21. This Day was established 43 years ago in 1981 by a unanimous United Nations resolution.  Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace. 

Come by and join your friends and neighbors as we observe this day and bring our hearts and hands together to pray for peace. All are welcome.
