Join Ashley Jones on Sunday, June 29th from 1-2 PM for Summer Strings, a student violin concert at Wilcox Park bandstand! From Vivaldi to Bach, Jigs to John Williams, a Celtic Air, Paganini, Couperin and Somewhere over the Rainbow, we will span the classics to modern fare. The sound of strings shall fill the air with 20 violinists of all ages and levels performing duets and melodies together!
Ashley Jones is a lifelong musician, violinist, Suzuki violin teacher and dancer. Jones trained at the Hartford Conservatory of Music, the Hartt School of Music with Linda Fiore and at Trinity College with former principal of Les Ballets Africains (the National Ballet of Guinea) Abdoulaye Sylla. Having taught for 25 years at numerous schools, universities and studios Ashley brings a wealth of experience and culture to her work as teacher and performer.
